IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | P&L Motorsports Reverse Manifold FMIC - 02-07 WRX/STI [PL-Sub0026] It was inevitable… We were unhappy with existing intakes, we made our own. We were unhappy with existing exhausts, we made our own. We were unhappy with existing high end forced induction offerings, we dominated! It was just natural that we’d start from scratch, and start testing and building our own intercooler. In discussion, we kept going back and forth on reversing the manifold or not; in the end realizing that the original end user was envisioned as a non-compromising racer. ![]() After several iterations, prototypes, fitment checks, and countless hundreds of hours of on track testing; we’re excited to bring our latest product to you! Our intercooler kits are wholly built in house. End tank fabrication, welding, pressure testing, piping, etc; built by hand by one of our master fabricators. In continuation of our bar raising documentation mandate, this kit will include our full-color, bound installation manual. We only believe in using the absolute best, so our intercooler piping comes pre-flanged for a high quality TiAL BOV. BUT, for those who have prior investments made, we can manufacture your pipe with a variety of flanges. Feel free to take a moment to call/email with your request. ![]() Our race spec kit is designed to relocate the alternator for better weight distribution, and remove the AC for weight savings. To help facilitate this, our race spec kits include a newly designed tensioner for the alternator belt, and replacement slim line fan. While this kit is intended to run as described above, it IS possible to retain the AC, but it will take a little bit of creativity and thought during installation by the end user. Reversing the intake manifold requires drilling and taping a new hole for the brake booster assembly. We’ve thought of that as well; including the requisite drill bit, tap, and plug which allow you to relocate the boost fitting, while being able to plug the existing hole. As can be expected, only the highest quality silicone couplers and T-Bolt clamps are included. ![]() Included in the P&L Motorsports Reversed Manifold Front Mount Intercooler :

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 Trader Rating: (12) | Will it work with a rotated Magnus Intake Manifold (Many modifications were necessary for my current reverse piping to fit)? Will you off just the piping if so how much? Is blow-through an option (if so, how's about a MAF block off plate as a new product )?More questions coming probably... |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | The more I look at P&L vs other's I like their rotated turbo kits better. I like how complete and detailed they are about every thing they do. Next spring if I have the extra money I will concider the front mount and rotated for my 08 maby even with ams's new intake. |

It is not certain yet, but more than likely only a silicone inlet will work with our kit.. Perrin, Samco (our favorite), etc. will be acceptable -Ty Last edited by P&L Motorsports; 10-13-2008 at 03:11 PM.

We will not be offering the piping separately. If one would like a blow through set up, we would be able to weld in a housing onto the piping. Blow through would not be our first choice for tuning, however. Oh, and....

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Do you have a price yet for just the piping? Does that include the other brakets for relocating the alternator? I want to use this with my dr725 core since the bumper is already cut and its a very large core. What are the dimesions on the core included with this kit? |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Do you have any info on how much shorter the piping is then in the perrin or aps kits? How big of a difference in lag is it? This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
