Here is my review on these pads.

Compared to my Hawk HPS with 30k ish miles

2005 STI

Stock Struts, Tanabe Springs, 29mm front bar, 22mm rear bar, 440 whp.

Breaking setup is stock rotors with 75k miles, stainless lines, motul fluid. Hawk HPS on the rear.

I run 265 r-comps for racing, and my car is around 3200 without me in it, so there is a lot of load on the brakes for sure.

Okay, so I have some street miles and 1 autocross on the pads.

I started with stock pads, then replaced those with Hawk HPS, so that is the basis of any comparison.

First off, my Hawks ALWAYS squeaked, drove me nuts. I tried with shims, with out shims, CRC Disc Brake Quiet, etc, nothing helped.

I installed the Gruppe-s pads and bedded them immediately and aggressively.

First thing I noticed was no squeak!

Pads bedded well and immediately I could tell they had significant more bite than the hawks.

I really like the pedal feel of them, they grab well without a lot of pedal pressure.

On a long highway ride, they take maybe a half second to warm up, but this is not significant, and barely noticeable, but I could tell when I braked for an off ramp, they usually feel a bit slick initially when ice cold. The hawks were more consistent in that regard. Still I would consider the Gruppe-S a very streetable pad though.

They worked excellently at the auto-x and I never felt anywhere near over-heating them, the were very consistent and stopped extermely well. There was a short stop box, and I was pleased that I never came even close to not stopping in time.

I really like these pads for the street and auto-x.

My only gripe is the dust, they have proved to be very dusty pads. In a matter of less than 1k miles my front wheels have a thick coat of black dust.

Bleeding my lines friday with fresh motul, for 2 days worth of tracking at NHMS.

I havent seen any signs of significant wear on my rotors so far.

Please feel free to PM me with any questions on these pads, or ask here for everyones benefit.

More review after this weekends track days.

So far, I highly recommend these pads.
