Default Camber plates for D-specs - OR - Check out TiC's nuts!!!

Tokico D-spec users have a really hard time finding camber plates to use with their struts because Tokico was kind enough to use a stud size and thread pitch that is different than stock.

That makes D-spec guys do this:

TiC can make D-spec guys do this:

You may ask yourself why this is over here on an STi board - well, for the 04 STi guys this applies.

We have a new deep nut for use with the Whiteline Max-C caster/camber plates that allow you for use on the Tokico D-specs. Bottom line TiC listens to the community, and figures out what is needed. Quite a bit of this comes from actually being involved in this stuff, and really loving these cars. That's something that many vendors just can't say, and for a list of them look at who actually does this stuff. It'll be a short list.

You get two of them, one for each side, and they are priced out at $23 for the pair (yes, shipping in the US is included). Oh, if you happen to need the Whiteline plates we can help you out with that too.

Right now they are ONLY for the D-specs, and they are ONLY for the Whiteline plates. We are very busily researching other makes and models of struts and plates for fitment, and will let folks know what works.

Some installation tips:
  • Our fit is much tighter than the nuts that ship with the WL plates. You will need to tap them into the spherical bearing first either using a dead blow hammer (or a regular hammer and something to pad the top of the nut). A press works nicely for this as well.
  • There is no need to tap them in all the way. All you need is a bit of thread engagement so the nut will be drawn in the rest of the way when you tighten them down.
  • Torque spec does not change - about 45lbs.
