IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 Trader Rating: (2) | I just finished doing a base breakin tune on JDM-STI'S car. Again we are amazed by what a flat tq curve we were able to achieve with our new motor package. Peak boost was set at 20psi falling to around 18.5psi at redline. Run was made on straight 93oct. No other octane booster or adder was used. This car clearly has a high 400hp run on just pumpgas in it once some more miles are racked up, and we up the tune to something a bit more aggressive. IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 Trader Rating: (11) | Doug did an outstanding job on the motor build. I have no doubts that it will have stock like reliablity. Not many with built motors can say that from all that I've read over the years. And what can I say about Scott's tuning. Not only is he a great friend of mine, but he is an absolute top notch tuner. As far as my car goes, I couldn't be happier with it right now. My old set up, FP Red on pump/meth made 435whp on this same dyno running 27psi. And on the street, spool is close to the same and pulls much harder now than before. I mean 455whp on pump gas only with minimal timing and no AVCS tuning is INSANE. I can't wait to break this motor in and run our planned 30+psi. Then the fun will begin. |
