IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2003 Trader Rating: (7) | The COBB Tuning Air Box was designed to capture the cool air supplied to the SF Intake through the factory intake snorkle. Constructed of 16 ga. Aluminum the air box consists of a one piece surround, directional lid, and stainless fasteners that help reduce a loss of power that could be robbed from your motor by a heated intake charge. Unlike some cold air intakes, which places the filter in the front fender, our design helps to supply cool air through factory ducting, while eliminating the risk of water ingestion. Comes with all necessary hardware and full illustrated instructions. Requires the use of the COBB SF Intake system. ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks Kirill RallySportDirect.com 801-748-4910 ext 1006 This ad is not endorsed by this member. I ask because I plan to run brake cooling where the silencer would normally sit. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | At the point that I finally go through with getting a downpipe and a tune, I really want to get an intake at the same time. I didn't want to get an intake that put the filter in the fender because I didn't want to have to dig deep every time I needed to maintain the filter. This looks like an excellent, complete solution for an under-the-hood intake system. I'm not highly knowledgeable on this subject, but it seems like this box plus some type of heat reflective material attached to the outside would be an excellent setup. I'll certainly keep the coolest vendor ever in mind when I get around to making my purchase. You guys have given me good service in the past. |
