The Mad Daddy is at it again. They say 40 is the new 30 when it comes to age. Well maybe by the end of the year we'll all be saying 2.5" is the new 3".

We're introducting a new line of 2.5" turboback systems and you can't do that unless you have a downpipe. This is the first showing of a new MadDad 2.5" Catless downpipe. Divorced wastegate with a proper separator flange. What makes this pipe truely special are the little hangers at the very end. They will allow you to remount the lower factory catalytic heatshield over the pipe. Not only will that offer the 02 sensor some protection from road debris, it will give this pipe a 100% stock appearance. I'll be posting a pic later this weekend with the heatshield mounted. The second half of the equation would be mounting up a Whisper 2.5" Catback exhaust. That already exists today. It might not be as well know as the 3" Whisper catbacks but the 2.5" bolt-on axleback versions have been out for a while now, at least in single tip form. The dual tip 2.5" bolt-on was released about 2 months ago. We also have a 2.5" intermediate pipe or heck just use the factory with it's origonal heat shielding and just go for the Whisper axleback out back. Flash to stage II with confidence and get that baby dyno tuned.

We have many customers in Califonia and they all have been calling for a better solution to their needs and we think this is something they are going to love and a lot of others as well. I have plans to get this pipe and a Whisper 2.5" catback out to a California tuner. I'd like to line up a 2007 STi owner that is bone stock for this setup. If anyone wants a deal on the parts I can make you a deal. The requirements are that you must have an appointment to get a base dyno run and then another run after the exhaust is installed and tuned.

The next question is pricing. The catless downpipe will have a regular price of $349.95. Of course there will be an intro for less. Whisper 2.5" Axleback exhausts run $389-399. A 2.5" Whisper catback about $539-549 . A point of note on prices is that all of these mentioned products are hand built in the U.S. Yes they cost a little more as a result, and we make a lot less margin on them as a result, but we're making an effort to keep the majority of what we build in the U.S.

The Whisper 3" catbacks are already accepted as one of the most desirable moderate volume catbacks around. Cited for the aggressive tone without overshooting on the db levels. The Whisper 2.5"s are built with the same imported German exhaust packing and same drone canceling baffle design and offer the same killer sound character....at even lower overall db levels.
