Default New, professional dash with integrated data acquisition

MXL is a powerful, professional gauge dedicated to all drivers that want to sample and display more information than these allowed by stock dashes. Now available in Plug'n'Play version for alla Subaru models since 1999. It allows the user to sample and display a large number of parameters. MXL includes a tachometer, 1 RPM input, 8 to 12 analogue inputs (temperatures, pressures, potentiometers, accelerometers, gyros, lambdas, “on-board” and custom sensors), 1 to 4 speed inputs, gear and lap time.
With a beautiful and wide back lighted display, MXL allows a high speed USB data download and analysis with the powerful Race Studio 2 software. MXL is part of a network of AIM products such as GPS module, and LCU-ONE lambda controller.

Great job joining this site.

I like this a lot and after seeing your add in Grassroots I went to your web site to check it out more. I am more familar with Traqmate because many of my friends use it. How would you compare the two products? I participate in track days and may try to do NASA TTs this year. I have thought about data acquisition looking at everything from Mxqdata, Race Lodgic, Traqmate to AIM. So many options and amount of data that it becomes very confusing. What type of driver do you recommend your product for?

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Thank you guys, just some more info about MXL. It is a flexible product, commonly used both in Europe and in the US. For all tech features I recommend to follow this link to our website, where you find description, tips and even the user manual for the Subaru Impreza MXL Plug&Play kit:
AIM - Sportline
Here you find 3 examples of MXL application in your country by:

the Nascar Rookie of the year (Paul Harraka)

Ford Mustang Playboy Racing Team

Andrew Caddell, 2006 Miata U.S. Champion.

They are all MXL enthusiasts!
For quotation in the US please contact our US subsidiary AIMSPORTS (AiM Sports | MyChron ™) or email mc@aimsports.com

What makes is plug-n-play with all Subarus?

Is it using the OBD-II system for it's data source?

If so, what is the sampling rate (Hz)?

Thanks!

The MXL Plug'n'Play application is based on Subaru SSM protocol and fits all Subaru models since 1999.

The power of the MXL is the systems ability to gather, display, and store the data being output from the ECU. With that data the MXL can provide shift lights and other user definable warning lights.

Then the data can be downloaded into the included Race Studio 2 software and can be deeply analised to provide you with everything the car/engine/driver did during the run.

You can also add other channels to the MXL through the included harness for items that may not be included in the data stream from the ECU but that you still want to gather.

Of course you can also do laptimes and track mapping with the included lateral accelerometer and trackside beacon. A optional GPS sensor can also provide even more data.

Some data systems provide the GPS based speed, lateral acceleration, and location of the vehicle and that is OK for understand what the vehicle is doing, which the MXL does as well. But even more critical is why the vehicle is doing what it is doing and that is where all the additional inputs the MXL allows are critical.
