| Authorized Vendor | We got a box today. I opened it up and fell in love with the contents. In fact, the contents were so nice that I busted out the tripod, hung a sheet from the ceiling, aimed some lights and actually made a real effort to take nice pictures. Let me say that again - Clint actually tried to take some nice pics. This is not normal, but neither is the Grimmspeed up-pipe. Here's the write-up on them: We here at TiC see a lot of parts. A LOT of parts. In fact, we've become kind of jaded in the type of stuff we see since there's a baseline of quality and performance in a part that's needed before we carry it. Every once in a while, not too often, but every so often we run across a part that so far exceeds what we expect out of a quality part that we just sit back and say "WHOA!" The Grimmspeed up-pipe is one of the those parts. I have confess, I'm having a hard time writing this description because I just can't express in words how blown away I am with this part. Seriously, this blows away ANY other up-pipe we have seen. Period. Bar none. End of story. Let me break down what we want in an ideal up-pipe and then fill you in on the details.
Now, here's what's on the Grimmspeed unit
Oh, and there's one more thing. The welds. Artwork. I'm gonna hire their welder to just run some beads in random patterns on a plate of stainless steel so I can hang it on my wall as art. I'm serious. I'll send you pics once I have it made. These welds are in-flippin-credible. *Grimmspeed up-pipe comes with 5 nice new studs to use with your, superior to everyone else, up-pipe. Here's the link to the pipe over on the TiC site: Grimmspeed Up-pipe Turn In Concepts Now for my pics. Maybe not the best photos you've ever seen, but I guarantee the best you've ever seen from Clint. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This ad is not endorsed by this member. | Authorized Vendor | Let me get back to you on that. It's dinner time. Answers: Grimmspeed - just over 49mm on the inlet side. Just over 45 on the outlet side. Stock - just over 42mm at the wide part, not the crushed part from the crappy bend. That's even smaller. Last edited by Turninconcepts.com; 10-18-2007 at 07:28 PM. |

First off, have you taken the heat shields off the JDM twinscroll UP? Not much to change there since it's fully tubular and bent smoothly. about the only thing you can do to improve the JDM header and twinscroll design is grind the welding flash at the flanges smooth. Second off, this is a single scroll UP. There's only one tube. Twin scroll requires two. | |

| Platinum Member | Is there a chance these will be available with an external wastegate? I'd love to see P&L use this for there setup. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
