Hang onto a set for me. Since you will be underneath my car on Sunday, you may notice my stock sissy bushings going out.

We were wondering if you'd want to do that while we're working on it...

Heck yeah we're having a party!! Once we get you two taken care of we'll have some of those new brake lines I've mentioned that'll be going on Tony's WRX along with some new HPS pads, and if we still have time some gauges to go into mine. It's gonna be a fun day.

Remind me - are we doing the full shifter kit on yours or just the linkage bushings?

Cash works or you can just paypal it or order a set and we'll hold on to them for Sunday. If you do the last just leave us a note on the order so we don't accidentally ship them.

We can't take CC in person - In fact, we can't even take CC over the phone. The way our system is set up we never actually see a CC number, the paypal portion takes care of that.

Good questions - Right now there are three factors at play here.

First - the original material we tested worked great, BUT the cost was insane!! We figured folks wouldn't be willing to spend $300 on just a heatshield. We have been scouring the earth (ok, mostly just the US) for materials that will work as well (or pretty darn close) that have a more realisitic price. Right now we have three that show great promise (one I am particularly hopeful about). We just need to test them.

That brings us to factor number 2, time. Now that we have finalized and released the rear diff bushings we will have more time to work on this project.

The third factor is finding a decent machine shop. I'll be honest - Tony and I are pretty good at fabricating one-offs and prototypes (you should see the CAI Tony made for a 99 BMW M Roadster), but to keep the cost realistic, and make these in any decent number we need a shop that can punch (or laser cut) these things out by the dozens. We had hope in a local shop that we found, and our test for them was to make some production quality 5MT linkages. They did not meet our expectations. In fact, they fell WAY short.
That being said we're still searching (Kartboy has offered to help in this regard, but we'd hate to impose upon his kindness so we're looking at that as a last resort).

Clint,
Awesome. I might bite on a set. How much do they cost and how much more of your time will i be taking? *PM me with answer*

I'm bringing the entire kit ... KB lever and all.

I just got a set of HPS pads and have a set of Goodridge red SS lines sitting in my trunk...but i'll just have the dealer throw them on with my next oil change. I'm grateful for just the shifter setup install.

Looking forward to Sunday

We still have a number of the new Rear Diff Mount Bushings in stock, and there have been a couple of reviews. If you have time check out ol salty's and bah14's reviews. I think they are very pleased with them. Trust me - you're going to love these things.

Not yet. There's only about 10 sets of them out in the wild, and 5 of those sets are for eval or sponsorship. Ol'salty and Bah14 have thrown their reviews out there though, and I'm ordering some of the KB outrigger bushings now to see how they would do as a kit.
