We still have lots of bushing sets still in stock, and while we are low on the Super Shifter Sets I'm expecting a decently sized order from Kartboy in the next day or two to add more kits.

clint, have you had any complaints or reports of problems of any kind form people using the "whole sha-bang" on an STi? I spoke with my dealer the other day about your offer and wanted to ask you this before going any further.

Hey Brett,

Here's a list of the problems that we have heard of:

1) They are a pain to install
2) There have been some cases of increase noise and some vibration
3) People are starting to ask if we have replacements for the fulcrum bushings - not at this time, but we've been looking at them.
4) One guy and his mechanic installed them, and did not follow the instructions. He was not happy with how they felt. We told him to follow the instructions, and have not heard anything back from him
5) Slick50 had a missing spacer sleeve in the joint. We shipped him a replacement.
6) We had a guy do a 6mt swap into his WRX, and they did not fit. I suspect he ended up with the new legacy GT linkage which has different dimensions. A few others have done the same, and not had a problem with them.

Clint,

as always, you're up-front and spot on with info. I thank you for that. My dealership and my concern is with the kit harming anything that is oem on the car. Can you think of any reason why this would happen? i can undstand having to reorder a TiC or Kartboy part, but i'm trying to think of what could happen that would require a dealer to fix... in which case (if kit is installed) will NOT be covered under the subaru warranty.

I totally appreciate the input.

We've actually though long and hard about this, and we can't think of anything.

If you think about how the tranny works the only thing connected to that control rod on the tranny is the shifter forks. Since the forks are sprung internally, and you don't rely upon external springs or bushings to hold those forks in place I don't think either the kartboy or tic bushings would have an adverse affect on these.

Clint, i completely agree and was thinking the same thing....i had to go back and look of the manual, but eventually i cam to a similar conclusion. I'm having a meeting with my mechanic this friday when my exhaust goes on and will see what he thinks.

thanks

You may also want to point out that the STi SS kit comes with stiffer bushings over stock. Ours just happen to be even stiffer than the STi ones.

Big news folks!! First production run of the rear diff bushings came in yesterday. We've got some sleeves to cut, and some more testing to do. If it all looks good expect to see these on the site soon.

(I'll post pics as soon as I get back - I'm out of town right now.)

There have been a few negative words spoken. I can say that a majority of them have been during the install of the shift linkage bushings.
