Default Cheater Bar?

I just bought a 24 inch breaker bar for my spring install. I am worried that since im not a big guy (5'7", 125 lbs) i wont be able to break the bolts loose. So I want to get a cheater bar. Ive seen some people's cheater bars that have a grip and that aren't just a pipe. The problem is that after searching online, I cant seem to find them ANYWHERE! Can someone link me to a place where i can get said cheater bar or should i just go to ace and pick up a metal pipe? Thanks

Wes

I'd say just go with a metal pipe. Simple, easy, and cheap. That's what I've been using for years, I also put some electrical tape on the end for a little grip

i guess i'll just get a metal pipe. I just remember seeing this one cheater bar that was specifically for that purpose. Is there any specific size i need/thickness? I dont know alot about pipes.

Metal pipe + craftsman gloves worked like a charm

just depends on how much extra torque you want, usually, a good lenth for a cheater bar is around 2 foot long. That'll give you pleeenty of extra muscle. As for thickness, just get a pipe that won't collapse when you put all your weight and then some onto it I've never measured the thickness of mine, but its somewhere between 1/8 to 1/16 inch thick steel pipe

I just found some pipe lying around the side of the house somewhere. Guess it kind of helps with a dad in construction. Haha.

Any pipe that is metal and fit over your wrench will do. We always use our jack handle pipe as a cheater bar. We have the craftsman 4 ton jack and that pipe is thick and about 1-2 ft long. We also have a cheap kragen tiny jack and we cut a hole through the plastic so we can fit our wrenches over it. They can really come in handy and make things MUCH easier.

I have 2 cheater bars. 1) motorcycle front suspension tube from a street bike I totalled and 2)metal pipe.

The motorcyle shock tube works the best....

Even a small guy could loosen or brake anything with a 24" breaker. I wouldn't worry too much about a cheater, but a pipe works fine if for some strange reason you need one.

Anyhow...
Here is the greatest deal ever on a monster 25" breaker bar for $8 with a coupon from Harbour Freight. Hurry though, only two days left for the coupon. I feel sorry for those of you that don't have a HF close by.
