anyone know how much the tomioka ramps lift the car? i'm worried that even on these ramps, i won't be able to fit my jack under the front jacking plate with my jdm pinks and s203 style lip.

Mine just arrived.

Height: 2.5 inches
Width 8 inches but the top is FLAT - no lips on the edges so a wide tire will be fine.

i have rhinos too. they don't work in the front for me either. same goes for the back because of my rallyarmor mud flaps.

I have both a set of Rhino Ramps and the Takata LDS ramps. When I have the V-Limited lip installed I need to put the car up on the Takatas before I can get a jack under the front.

I don't use the Rhino ramps much now that the car is lowered, but if I need to do work with the suspension while under load I'll keep them and lower the wheels onto them after I've jacked up the car high enough. Also have used them to keep one end of the car in the air while I used jackstands on the other end but now that I have a total of 4 jackstands I probably will need them even less. Ah well at $25 or $35 or whatever I paid I can't complain since I've gotten that out of using them.

get a set of ramps from Griotsgarage.com

they sell ramps that go underneath low slung vehicles. They are as high as the Rhino ramps as well! They have a seperate attachment that allows low cars to get onto the larger ramps!

Cheers!

Kind Regards,
Ryan

How is it unsafe, most of us don't use deadly walmart metal ramps. The composite ramps, aka rhino ramps are very durable. Race Ramps are actually made of some crazy foam. really don't think plywood is going to crush either. Ramps are definitely safer than Stands.

i didnt say it was unsafe, i said it felt unsafe... and how are ramps any safer than stands? thats a hefty claim... either way ill stick to my stands/lifts. plus its WAY easier to work on a car thats on stands than ramps because they take up far less room.

I bought these ramps to make oil changes easier for myself.

i use walmart ramps but mine are compositenot metal. im leaning towards getting a set of those race ramps though for easy oil changes and for the extra clearance on simple mods.

Yup that is the way to go. Here is a picture of the ramps that I built for working under the car. This allows me to quickly change the settings on the rear sway bar or whatever else I want to do.
