Default What's in your toolbox?

What are some of the "must have" tools that you guys have in your toolbox for working on the STi?

Craftsman 15 in. Flex Handle (aka "breaker bar")
Sears item #00944201000 Mfr. model #44201

I use it every time I work on the car. Along with my Craftsman work gloves. A big socket set is a must, as well.

Mechanix M-Pact 2 gloves. Ever punched an alternator or intake when a bolt let loose? It hurts like hell. These have padding on the back of the hand and all over the knuckles for just such an occassion.

If I had to pick just one, ratcheting box wrenches FTW.
A set of deep sockets comes in handy too.

Ramps. good jack. jackstands. torque wrench.

10, 12, 14, and 17mm sockets (6 point and 12 point), wrenches, ratching wrenches, socket extension, socket wrench (i prefer 3/8") and a breaker bar. You can probably do 80% (maybe 90%) with those couple of tools, especially the 12 and 14mm stuff since every bolt Subaru uses seems to be in those sizes. (Hit up Sears when they have a tool sale and get one of the OMG-piece mechanic's toolsets to cover most of these, and maybe an extra set of the $20 (on sale) wrenches.)

A flat-headed screw driver is also very useful for everything.

I also recommend a good pair of gloves. I don't have airtools yet but I think they (and a compressor) will come to my garage soon too.

Oh and while they won't fit into a toolbox, a good jack and set of jackstands are handy too.

I love the M-Pact 2 gloves, I keep them in my turn out gear for rescue work.

I *had* a breaker bar, but it got loaned and never returned.

I have a good deal of metric stuff since I made the transfer over from Nissan. Some long wrenches would be nice since that engine compartment is so tight.

I have a jack, jack stands, and air compressor. Always looking for an excuse to buy more tools though!

the big ole craftsman breaker bar nandanrp is excellent, i have it and use it a lot also.

strong 1/2 and 3/8 air guns are a must have too, craftsman pwn.
