What pads do you guys use with your pc-7424. I have been buying my car detail aresanel and first time really using a powered polisher.

^UDM = Ultimate Detailing Machine - same as a 7424 if I understand correctly.

I use the Sonus SFX pads, I've been very happy with them, I'm thinking about giving the Meguiars pads a whirl too (little pun there), I'll post up a review if I make the switch.

It looks to me like they are the same thing at the same price. Am I wrong?

^ I think the unit is the same - the PC7424, but the UDM comes with the velcro backing plate included. So it basically saves you ~$20.

I just picked up a craftsmen on sale for $35.. got the job done pretty nice.. I was going to buy the porter cable. but I only detail my car 2 times a year so I couldnt justify spending that much money on a detailer.

and for $5.50 extra you get the 5 year service agreement where they will fix the thing for you if anything happens to it
