Default Air compressor

Got a 60 gallon Campbell Hausfeld VT6275 for Christmas. Pretty excited about it. Its a vertical, single stage, oil lubricated unit. I haven't had a chance to get it wired up and bolted down yet. Any fellow members have compressors at home? If so post up what you have.

That sounds like a beast! I've got a Craftsman 30 gallon (I think, maybe 25 gal) vertical compressor that I've had for about 10 years and it's still running great. It's been a godsend, air tools are great!

Thanks. I was considering getting a 25-30 gallon that would be more portable. In the end I said screw it I might as well get one that I know will handle whatever I throw at it. I got a good deal on it so the difference in price between it and smaller units wasn't much.

I have 33gal craftsman and a 60gal IR, sadly I paid 45$ for both of them. Old lady was selling the compressors at a garage sale and I asked her if they were for sale. She said yes so I asked how much? She told me to take them for free because her husband died and she just didn't want the memories. I felt real bad about it and I tried to give her 300$ but she kept refusing so I took both of them for 45$. The IR does have something wrong with the discharge valve. Other than that I have to say the most important thing to get for these is a regulator. 16$ at amazon just search for air compressor regulator.

Air compressors are hands down the most handy tool to have in a garage.
I've only got a lowly 4 gallon 150PSI compressor, but it's still enough to run a 425 ft/lb impact wrench.

I've got a 30 gallon Campbell Hausfeld 5.9 cfm at 90 psw, that I picked up a few months ago. I haven't got any tools for it yet, but I want to pick up an IR impact wrench before it's time to change wheels in the spring. I also want to get a set of torque sticks to complement my torque wrench.

Mostly tire fillers and dusters, then stubborn bolts get the enforcer (^). Compressor got a good workout when my dad painted his motorcycle though.
