Summer tires in the warm seasons, winter tires in the cold. That's the only way to go IMHO. SRT4's and any RWD cars in the rearview are the best part of my winter This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

You have AWD and the all season tire will give you plenty of grip in the little snow your going to get. heck even if you get a big storm the all season tire will be fine. People talk about performance but why buy winter tire that outperforms an all season tire ONLY on the few days it snows. The all season tire will last longer, provide all the grip you need, and perform better the majority of the time when the road isn't snow covered. edit: Whatever you do though, dont run the RE070's. I put mine on 1 week too early this year and found out the hard way just how bad they are. Keep in mind these weren't worn at all. I bought the car new in January so the stock RE070's only had miles on them from the test drive. They were brand new when I put them on and the car went from being a tank in the snow to not being able to accellerate, turn or stop safely. Last edited by Hitman83; 09-28-2007 at 10:17 PM. |

You know how to spot an out of state driver in VT during the winter? Hes the guy going 20mph UNDER the speed limit because there's snow on the SIDE of the road . Last edited by Hitman83; 09-28-2007 at 10:18 PM. | |

I'm in jersey/DC and the snow hasn't gotten too out of control in the past couple of years. If you're in an area that see's heavy snow then most definitely go for the winter tires. If not, then the all seasons should be fine for you. I don't care about not running a summer tire during the summer because I don't need the extra grip. I'm not running time attacks on my public roads, so it just seems pointless to me. |
