Default rim offset help?

I'm puting prodrive gc-05f and wanted to get ur guys take on it. I have an 06 STI with parameters on stock bbs of 17x8 +53 offset. the prodrives are 17x8.5 and I don't know whether to use the 44 or 54 offset?? I am also wrapping these in potenza re01r 245/40/17 on stock suspension?? any help would be appreciated guys...thanks in advance!!

you're going to want to run the +44mm

the +54mm you will potentially run into rubbing issues with the rear strut.

44 might be a little past the fender, but that can be taken care of
all you need is adjustabe camber plates up top and lateral links at the bottom
and you can adjust in or out.

I just fit a 18x9.5 with a 30 offset on stock fenders
so this should be a cake walk for you. Good Luck

I would highly advice not to do this.

sacrificing rear track to run the wrong offset?

it's possible to run an 18x9.5 in the rear without doing what you just suggested.

and a +44mm with the right size tire wont be passed the fender, unless the guy is running +2.0 of camber front and rear.
