Default 18x9 Work emotion xd-9

I have a set of 18x9 +43 offset work emotion xd-9 purchased and am waiting for the company to verify if they will fit 05' sti, clearing the brembos,

Anyone have a clue whether or not they will clear the brembos?

the are designed for the rear of the following cars.

RX8
IS250
GS350
GS430

and a few others.

It's a toss up really, it depends how the spokes are designed.

please tell us what you find out, but everything i've heard says no go. (but i hope i'm wrong).

I'll contact my Work guy to double check and have them test them on their STi.

I swore he said no before, but hopefully i'm wrong b/c these are a damn good size.

yeah, i'm not a fan of spacers and street wheels.

my biggest concern is the fact that they are designed for the rear of those cars, where "fat lip" is popular.

fat lip isn't good for brembo clearance.

still waiting to hear from them
... This really sucks.... I was initially told that they will fit then i sent the money, waited a few days a no word, then told that they have some coming in , and will just verify that they fit, Since this is the first 18x9 xd-9 for 05' sti, and im stuck in the middle,

you saw the 18x9s?

yes these wheels aren't the lightest wheel on the market but they also don't cost $3k for the set.

no they arent the lightest but weigh I think 20 -21 pounds for the 18, but considering the mods that i have going, it should make up for that rotational weight, But i have heard that they are one of the strongest,.
