If '04 has 7.5 rims, then go with the 225s

Bought a pair of 225/45/17 this week! Could not resist the price! $125! Off To Buffalo I go to get them. I hope these tires are as good as the RE070, my only concern is the sidewall stiffness.

How would u guys rate the wear on these tires? I know they will last longer than what i have now. I've been daily driving with the occasional tracking my A048's for about a year so yea they are just about gone. Looking for something alittle cheaper

well you wont find any street tire that matches grip of an R-comp.

get a second set of wheels for some A048s

then slap some RE-01Rs on for the street

how quiet are these tires compare to the 70s?

I'm debating whether to get the re-01r or the re-960,
I know the tradeoff, between the two, but I was just wondering how the noise level was on these hot tires =]

If I have any music on I really can't hear the tires, and with the music off I'm usually driving more aggressively and want to hear every noise the car makes - you do know you have more serious tires on though. I'm running 245/40/18's, and honestly I feel like the ride quality in a strait line (over sh1tty jersey pothole infested cracked warped roads) is damn close to the blizzaks I have on the stockers which is ridiculous when I realized how much grip these things have. I have never owned a better tire, and until something comes out that blows these away I won't be getting anything else.

These tires are awesome! They cut down noise SO much compared to the RE070. Sometimes I think that I'm in a Lexus or Mercedez because you can barely hear any noise! When there is noise, it's more of a hollow and quiter noise. Best of all, there is no noise from the tires at 80mph!

They seem to soak up bumps much better too. They have more of a... gel like ride to them on some bumps. Instead of a thump, it's like hitting one of those gel mouse pads.

And as far as sticky... they feel much stickier too. With the RE070s I sometimes felt like I was sliding a bit. Same turns and speed with these... I feel more planted.

is it good to run 225/45/17 on the stock bbs rims or its better to run the 235/40/17 on the bbs?
