Default Lug Nut Help

I have a 06 stock with the stock BBS wheels on it. MY buddy just got me a set of black BBS lugs for me but when I look at the lugs the part of the lug that goes against the wheel is not flat. Will these lugs work on my car or am I missing some thing.

What do you mean by not flat? Rounded? Pics would help, but it sounds like they probably wont work...

Your picture shows a flat-taper (aka 'tuner') lug. Yes, that will work.

The common problem is actually the reverse, when people try to fit convex OE lugs to the flat-taper seats.

i think they'll work, however the stock lugs are meant for the bbs rims.

If you look closely at the OE seats, you'll see that they have a flat chamfer which will mate properly to the pitch of the tapered lug.

The OE seat's chamfer will also work with a convex lug (like the OE), because it's relatively short, it's hardened (a steel seat) and the OE wheel is lug-centric.

The common problem is when people want to use an all-alumium wheel (no lug seats) with a full-taper seat and the wrong center bore. Then you have a lug-centric wheel, but the convex lugs only bear along tangents in the tapered seats. That's when you *need* tapered lugs. Of course you should still use the correct center bore as well.

...of course make sure your BBS lugs have the correct thread pitch.

In this situation, the OE lugs don't fit any better than tapered lugs.
