IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 Trader Rating: (4) | Just saw boostjunkies similar thread. Just got done installing freddies fender cowl brace, put wheel on, about to do all the final tightening, using torque bar set to 68 ft lb, applying pressure waiting for the torque bar to 'click' that its' tight enough and wham! the subaru wheel lock lug just broke into pieces... I look at the 'key' and its broken too. If it isnt 68 ft lbs its gotta be darn close, so its on there good, but the head is completeley stripped off of that curved star like pattern of the lug where the lock male/female parts align. I am not sure how its going to come off? So, i have one of the fender braces on, and cant at least get any of the other wheels off until i get a new lock adaptor... Dealers closed tomorrow, anyone know where they sell these??? jesus..... This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
