Would that hurt you at on an auto-x because wouldn't it take away from the dartiness of the car? This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Professional STI Driver | From your sig it looks like you would be in STU as long as you go with 245's. You can go bigger if you don't care about that. I ran 275's last year and my only problem was pushing through a corner too much because of the lack of rotation. (and going to fast) |

on a narrower rim the turn in is sacrificed but the added grip more than makes up for it. on a properly sized rim (at least 9") a 275 has no adverse affect on handling. it may have adverse affects on your fenders if you're not smart and do it with out research.

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | You see the reason I thought this is because when you have a wider tire, it increases high speed stability correct? So then while your driving at low speeds, like when your at an auto-x, it would have a more negative affect than if you had a tire that was less wide. |

that point is where the tire can't heat up and becomes partially useless, therefore negating the point of having the wider tire.

| Professional STI Racer | then go softer compound same size.... so really the size is not the problem ...;.. tecnically its the compound... but then there is a point where you can't go any softerl. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
