Default Am I the only one who thinks the stock rims look the best on our cars?

Am I the only one who thinks the stock rims look the best on our cars? I have only seen only 1 or 2 rims that I think look as good or maybe a little better then the stock rims. And they are usually the more expensive ones. I know maybe most of you will disagree, but that’s my personal opinion.

I will be getting new rims in the spring but it's more about having my STI stand out from other STI's then it is about wanting better rims.

So I was just wondering if anyone else agrees with me or if I am I just a freak?

I think they look great as well. If they came stock as an 18'' wheel, I don't think I could switch them out for anything. Our stockers are by far great looking wheels from the factory. You're no freak man. Well...I guess you could be a freak, but if you are, so am I.

I don't like the stock rims. Maybe it's becuase mine are silver and not gold. One of the first things I started doing was looking for a set of new wheels. Something in a bronze or gold. kept the stockers for winter snows

I think they look good both in gold and silver (I have silver). Good to know that I am not the only one

Default Stock wheels look great

I think stock wheels look great also.

But you probably did the same thing as me, wasting hours lookin for a nice set and then look for pictures of it with the same car color. At first I was very disapointed because I coulnd make up my mind on one model! I thought they looked good, but not enough to spend x$..... ntil my first meeting! where I saw all theses sti with volks, axis, 5zigens , prodrives, rotas, ..., ..., which are actually freakin hawt when your aside of the car!

Imo, all aftermarket rims do not match the lines of the sti. But you chose a model that matches your mods and I think, as you said, it makes your sti stands out of others... same thing as a boobs surgery on a women!

edit: Prodrives gc05f were my final choice!! I'll get them for summer probably wraped with some bfg g force kd

I think they look great, and are nice light, strong wheels. The few things I don't like are petty. Things like the fact that its a PITA to wash them because of all the little corners around the entire wheel. It takes me just as long to clean my wheels thoroughly as it takes my friend to wash his whole car (rims included).

If you are cleaning your wheels without a wheel brush, I would highly recommend purchasing the brush below or something similar to it. It will make your wash a little faster and easier.

Love the stock BBS. That's why I haven't changed my rims yet. But if they where 18 they would be perfect.

FREEEAAAKK!!! Naw, I'm just kidding man. I Love my BBS's. The BBS's are very high quality wheels. They're also light and strong. The only thing drawing me into getting other wheels is the fact that I like to stand out and make my car my own. The thing that really did it was when the same WRB STi with silver BBS wheels (same as mine) pulled into the parking lot next to me at my work.

i think the prodrive p1's in 18's would have been the best looking stock rim.

I like the way they look, but I have back and wrist problems so it's a complete PITA for me to clean them. I can't wait to get some 5 or 6 spokes.
