Default Suggestions for High Performance tire?

I am getting a set of 17x9 CE28Ns +40 and was contemplating on what tires I should get.

My concern is.. I may have to use these same tires to 'drive' to each AutoX event, so I want something that would hold up for at least a year's worth of events. (farthest event is probably 3 hours away)

I thought about getting V710s.. but understand they won't last driving on the street.

My other thought is... I want to put a really good set of tires on my stock BBS wheels that would give me great traction if I decide to drive down to the local dragstrip, but still be used for very little daily driving.

Any suggestions on these 2 options?

You're going to get a lot of suggestions. Bridgestone RE01Rs are great for either application if you've got some money. If you really are concerned with treadwear, the RT615s (Falken) may last a smidge longer, but the 452s (dunno the style name) from Falken will last longer. A few guys in my local Subie club say they sacrifice a little dry traction but gain wet traction and some treadwear.

get V710s, put the CE28Ns in your back seat and drive there on the BBS's

change tires at the events. you don't need V710s for drag racing, you'll break something.

oh, and V710s on the street would last 1-2 autox's tops.

unless you lived 2 blocks from the event.
