i remember that article, scc sucks without dave.

I stopped replying to 17x8 +35mm offset threads, it's kinda pointless.

hmm this is all good info, but If i do recall, the +40 offset is supposed to fit an STI based on their spec sheet? unless I was reading it wrong...

doesn't the star say that 18x8.5 does fit the sti??? I could be wrong...

It would fit, but it doesn't mean that it's right...you need to read STiMonSTAR's post again to maybe understand why

You can run the +40 but it is a bit aggressive on the offset. More bearing wear, more tire wear, probably more fender wear as well (depending on the tire width) . But if you want them we can get them.

Cheers,

Gary

rays also warns you that they may rub even with the proper "matching offset and tire size"

What is your opinion on the scrub radius, tire wear, etc on a 18x9 ET45? 2.0 camber front, 1.8 rear

I'm also interested on how a 18x9 ET45 (namely the RG2) would fit on a 05. Anyone know?

coilovers with camber plates and factory camber bolts, it's easy.

so back to the subject at hand, scrub radius on 18x9 ET45 2005 STI with -2.0 degrees camber in front and 0 toe?

OMG I hate you and the SYMS fenders you rode in on!!

I wanted those fenders SOOOOOOOOO BAD for my 04 .

Anyhoo, those 18x8.5 +40 fit about the same as the 18x8 +45's did on my 2004. Not bad. What size tire? I ran a 245/40R18 (rather aggressive, but I liked it).
