IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2004 Trader Rating: (52) | Theres about a bajillion threads on offset and what works etc. Post Your year, tire size, wheel size, springs & struts, wheel spacers if applicaple, and other mods, like rolling fenders etc. I'm stock so obviously my post is kinda pointless but in this format for easy reading. 2005 STi Wheel Size: 17X8 Offest: 53+ Tires: Falken Azenis 225/17/45 Suspension: RCE Spings, group-n rear tops, and front non-lowering RCE camber plates Wheel Spacer: N/A Other: N/A This should make it easier for people to find what there looking for. IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | 2004 STi Wheel Type: Gram Lights 57s Wheel Size: 17X8.5 Weight: around 17-18lbs Offest: 40 Tires: Falken FK-452 245/40/17 (tires are very heavy) Suspension: STI Pink Spings, group-n tops Wheel Spacer: N/A Other: I just got these and I need to roll the rear fenders. They hit when I go over steep bumps. Because of the wide stance, it gives it more of an aggressive feel then the stock BBS wheels did. Clears front brembos by an inch which is nice for cleaning. ![]() If there is another thread about this already, mods feel free to merge this into it. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2004 Trader Rating: (3) | In 2005: 2004 STi Wheel Size: OEM BBS 17x7.5 Offest: +53 Tires: Falken Azenis 225/45R17 Suspension: JDM Pink Spings, group-n rear tops, and front lowering RCE camber plates Wheel Spacer: N/A Other: Looked and worked great! A little too soft of spring for auto-x. Made for great compliant daily driver. 2004 STi Wheel Size: Rota Torque 17x8 Offest: +48 Tires: Hoosier R3S04 225/45R17 Suspension: JDM Pink Spings, group-n rear tops, and front lowering RCE camber plates Wheel Spacer: N/A Other: Worked great with "stock" suspension. Not very meaty tire for auto-x. In 2006: 2004 STi Wheel Size: OEM BBS 17x7.5 Offest: +48 Tires: Falken Azenis 245/45R17 Suspension: RCE Spings, group-n rear tops, and front lowering RCE camber plates Wheel Spacer: N/A Other: Springs were great daily driver setup. Better than Pinks. Too low in front with lowering springs and lowering plates. Plates were designed for Pinks only. The 245/45s would rub fenders and fender liners under heavy turning, and hard driving. Meaty tire for daily driving. Mild rubs under heavy, spirited driving. No issues with rear clearances. 2004 STi Wheel Size: Rota Torque 17x8 Offest: +48 Tires: Hoosier R3S05 245/45R17 Suspension: RCE lowering springs, group-n rear tops, and front lowering RCE camber plates Wheel Spacer: N/A Other: Tires would rub heavily with heavy turning, heavy cornering. Large 5"x5" spot of fender liner gone. Just too low and too soft with RCE springs/lowering plates, and super tall 245/45 R-compound tires. Tires would tuck into rolled (not pulled) rear fenders. No issues with rear clearances. Opted for larger diameter tire for local region autocross and frequent 2nd gear rev limiter visits in 2005. Hindsight would rather have smaller, non-rubbing tire. Oh well... For 2007: 2004 STi Wheel Size: Rota Tarmac 3s 18x8 Offest: +48 Tires: Falken Azenis 235/40R18 Suspension: RCE Tarmac 2 coilovers, group-n rear tops, and PDE front camber plates Wheel Spacer: N/A Other: In progess of doing 5x114.3 hub swap. Will post fitment/issues when available. Likely no issues. 2004 STi Wheel Size: 5zigen FN01R-C 17x9 Offest: +43 Tires: Kumho V710 275/40R17 Suspension: RCE Tarmac 2 coilovers, group-n rear tops, and PDE front camber plates Wheel Spacer: N/A Other: In progess of doing 5x114.3 hub swap. Will post fitment/issues when available. Could have fitment with fenders on rear. Ride height, camber and pulling rear fenders likely to solve issues. |
