IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | A month or so back, I carelessly nailed a pothole in a construction zone. It created a very small "flat spot" on my drivers side, front rim. I didn't really care at the time, due to the fact I was putting my winter setup on. The tire held air as i drove it for a week or so, and continues to hold air as it sits in my basement. The flat spot isn't too bad. If i point it out to people, it IS visible, but I think only because I point it out. Should I worry about it? Is it possible to get a small flat spot fixed? The car is just my daily driver. However, I do drive it like its meant to be driven on many occasions. I was planning on just throwing that rim on the rear of the car, and just going with it. Barring it holds air fine. Seeing as its been hard for me to locate just one 18" Steel Gray, Rota Tourque. Is this gonna be a problem? Anyone with any similar expieriences have any horror stories? Thanks in advance. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

If it doesnt and it holds air and the cosmetic blemish doesnt bother you then I think it is fine. I had an extremely slight bend on my oz wheel on my old nsx. It was so slight that the only way I knew it was there was I could feel a slight difference rubbing around the lip when I was washing them. Since it is just a rota anyways, you might as well just replace it, as getting it repaired will cost about the same as a new rim. Just remember most likely that wouldnt have happened on the stock rim. I have nailed some nasty potholes that would have destroyed some wheels and they just shrugged them off like nothing.
