Default Snow in KDW? Chains?

I am going up the mountain snowboardinging in my STi the Monday Coming up.

However, i have one problem, i am equpped with KDW2 with not a great amount of tread. Will cable help me get through the snow?

The road condition right now says Chains Not Required, so i suspect is not that bad at all up there. But i don't want any mishaps at all.

Any suggestions?

Well this is what happend to me on the stock tires in melted snow in down town denver doing about 20mph. I'm very glad i got some Blizz's. the chains might work not sure if they will mess your wheels up or if you have a drop they clould touch the fenders.

If you can use a differnt car i would. It sucked driving a 98 toyota for over a month while it was being fixed.
