Default 06 STi Tire Pressure sensor?

I was watching the Speed Channel and they were talking about tires having a sensor where they have tire pressure monitors when it tells us that a tire is low on a set pressure. Well I was just wondering if we had these.

Nope. It is not in the owner's manual.

if you track your car alot, or even if you just wanna know what your tire pressures are this would be a great investment. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TPMS-...spagenameZWDVW

well, think about it like this. unless its like a vette, or something rediculously expensive, there is just an idiot light on the dash that tells you when a tire is 12 pounds off from the others. even 10 pounds off can trash a tire, so if you dont have that 2 less pounds in there, youll never know. these systems i posted constantly display real time data that tells you exactly what pressures (and in some cases temperatures) each individual tire is running. when they come stock (on most cars like toyota and gm) there is no display. some of the caddys have a display on the dash, but you have to go through an entire list of things to find it. not so good on the fly imo. so im glad subaru didnt include a tpms on our cars for the main reason that it would be just an idiot light . i want to know what perssures im running, not just when a tire is low.

this is true. around here, i dont have to worry about that. in some places, people do. in that case, id only use the caps when at an event like auto-x or something. the last one i posted is the internal wheel wheel sensor. that would be for me so i can use it all the time and not worry about someone jacking my sensor valve cap
