oh, yea, I read the post on nasioc, and i also recommend swapping tires at the track. Drive on street tires to the event (which can double as rains), and stuff the 4 R-comps in the rear (which you can do, get a blanket to put them on though). Then stuff the rest in the trunk.

I mention them because I've read that they're basically the same compound as the Toyos, but don't need to be shaved to prevent squirm. Just another thought. Personally I'd rather run a better dry weather tire and use my street tires as a backup rain tire. Also, running RA1's on the street regularly may turn them into useless bricks long before you've worn them down.

Yeah...My friend has RA-1's on his Evo and I dont think tread squirm is an issue based on the size of the tread block's. Just heat cycle them.
