Default 215/55/17 Winter Sport M3

I've read a few threads that 215 will work fine on the stock rims, but I haven't seen anything about the 215/55s. I'm guessing these will be fine but I just wanted to double check. Tirerack doesn't have the non-DSST M3s available in 225/45 so I have the choice of 225/55 or 215/55. Anyone know of an online shop that has 225/45 available for the M3s at the same/similar price?

The Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2 are available in 225/45 so I guess those are my backup if the 215/55 wont do.

thanks, can't wait to drive up to tahoe!

215/55?

That is pretty tall. Like an extra 1.5" in diameter.

I see 225/45 in stock in the Wintersport 3D, which is the new version of the M3.

That is closest in rolling diameter to the stockers. I'm dying to hear from someone who has tried it.
