IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | I put 265/35R18 Pirelli P-zero Nero M/S tires on last weekend on my 2004 Sti and they fit. And then I drove off and starting hitting road bumps. Sqeak every time and now there's a tiny little road rash on the shoulder of the rear tires. It didn't take too much effort to pull off the rubstrips from the back wheels and pull the fenders. I think I can see a difference in the fender now, but its subtle. No more rubbing. I put the car through its paces, railroad tracks, donuts in empty parking lots and no rubbing issues anymore. http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...w/DSC09948.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...w/DSC09974.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...w/DSC00006.jpg ![]() ![]() This ad is not endorsed by this member. IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | Short answer, they are my snow tire. Long answer, they'll be my year-round tire and my autocross-in-the-wet tire. I had falken azenis, but the azeni's six month 10k miles life span is enough to stop me from buying them again. My street tire doesn't have to be a max performance as I try to save my hard driving for autocrosses and r-compound race tires. The pirellis have reasonable performance in snow as I generally treat snow and ice with a lot of respect. For instance I never had trouble driving RE070s in snow. The Pirelli at least has a snow rating. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
