Default Anyone have experience with Tire warranties?

Has anyone ever had their tires replaced using one of these tire warranties?

It's time for me to get new tires and I do not want what happened to me with my stockers to happen again. I got a nail in my brand new RE070's and had to get it patched. I was too scared to take my car to the track with a patched tire.

Will these warranties actually give you a replacement tire or just give you $20 to get it patched? This is my biggest fear when buying new tires. It always seems to happen when the tires are new too.

patched tires are fine, plugged tires are not. the warrenty covers the tire if it become unrepairable, like sisewall puncture

Are you saying that a patched tire is fine for the track? I read on these forums before that you should never take a patched tire on the track because you lose your speed rating and the extreme heat could compromise the adhesive of the patch.
