Default SSR TYPE CRS & SSR MS1's :D

Hey guys, check out what we got:

SSR MS1 - 18" Super Black Coat

SSR TYPE CRS 18" Gunmetal
These 2-piece wheels are INCREDIBLY LIGHT. 18.2lbs for 18x8.5. WOW! That Volk cold-forge territory without the cold-forge price.

Cheers,

Gary

I think the first ones are a little too bling bling for most people on this board, but the Type CRS is hot.

hot wheels i love the SSR CRS

heres a question for you gruppe-s

i currently have 18x8.5 SSR Comps on my car (look identical to those CRS)... i got them from tire rack... tire rack's website says there 16lbs a piece... i see you saying those are 18lbs... did they get heavier due to the 2 piece design or was tire rack wrong?

Someone new to the forums will read this and think it's true. SSR wheels are not "too soft". If you made that comment based on threads about people saying they bent wheels, that doesn't mean that if they were running volks they still wouldn't have bent a wheel. There are a lot of factors that go into bending a wheel (speed, tire pressure, sidewall height, sidewall stiffness, road condition) and all should be taken into account before blaming the wheel strength.

Please follow that up with some reasoning.

Hi,

The SSR wheels (JDM) and the SSR wheels Tire Rack carries are inherently different in materials and manufacturing process.

The SSR Type CR-S wheels we offer is a 2-piece SSF forged wheel. The reason this is heavier is because it is actually a stronger wheel. SSR Japan has discontinued the Type C in 18" because of issues with it bending (not a problem on smaller sizes). The 18lbs for the Type-CRS 2-piece wheel is correct. Tire Rack usually does their own thing.

Thanks,

Gary

Hi guys,

Here's another pic of hte MS1's in +31 offset (for EVO).

$1999 for the 18x8.5 Type CR-S (JDM)

$1899 for the 18x8.5 MS1 also (center caps extra $100).

Thanks!!

calm down..
I did not have much time when I posted.
Yes, it is really light; and light weight wheels are soft.
I had bent wheels with SSR and OZ. My personal experience.
Just my 2 cents. you don`t have to be upset~
Ok.. let`s put it this way. SSR wheels are softer than stock bbs.
Yes, it is same for all light weight wheels.
