Yes, it is really light; and light weight wheels are soft.
I had bent wheels with SSR and OZ. My personal experience.
Just my 2 cents. you don`t have to be upset~
Ok.. let`s put it this way. SSR wheels are softer than stock bbs.
Yes, it is same for all light weight wheels.
The Type CR-S were developed to meet the demands of abuse driving and big power. The SSF face is specifically designed to compromise a bit of weight to hold more power and more abuse. But I hear ya. I used to have some SSR Type X back in the early 90's - those bent literally once a week. SSR has come a long way since then with their SSF technology (semi-sold forge).

Cheers,

Gary

I'm not upset, don't worry. You are making assumptions about a lot of things. Not all light weight wheels are soft. It just doesn't make sense to say that all light weight wheels are softer than the BBS'. There are a ton of light weight wheels that are strong and durable.

Anyway, these are in fact a bit beefier than the older comps so I'm sure that they are stronger.

What kind of OZ rim did you bend???
I ran OZ's on my wrx for at least 20k and never had a problem with those rims. I even for a time ran 215's on em because of my coilovers/drop situation.

wow i have been waiting for these wheels(CRS) to be available. got any more pics? it looks like the color might be too light for my tastes. i normally love gunmetal. i am seriously going to buy these if you can get me a good naturally lit picture. it looks like you may have used a flash. thanks. what's shipping to 46321? i have money in hand.

Hi,

Yes I did use the flash on those wheels. It is a bit darker is real life, but not the super dark gunmetal found on the Volk wheels, etc. Sorry I don't have another pic as we sold those wheels to a customer already. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Is there a 17x8.5 option? If so what would the offset be?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi,

I can offer $1749 shipped for the 17x8.5". You can run either +49 (recommended) or +41. 16.5 lbs for the wheels.

Cheers,

Gary

$1999 shipped. They need to be ordered though (they are super popular) and there is a 6-8 week lead time. Our special order policies apply. Please let me know if you're interested!

I do have the Gramlight 57F 18x8.5 for the 05+ STI that's lighter & stronger than the SSR Type CRS for about $800 less in stock. (Currently stocking Diamond Black, Time Attack, Gold, Silver, Gunmetal).

Thanks,

Gary
