anybody runnin these on there car ? if so how do they ride and do they fit right?

I just put a set of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S (225/40/17) on my car 3 nights ago. I've driven about 100 miles on them so far and compared to the stock RE070s there is significant sidewall flex and loss of grip. I replaced my stockers because they were worn out (after 22k miles!!). I picked the Michelin's because they were rated very highly as "ultra high performance all-season" tires. I'm kinda sad they are so soft.... I can't wait for summer to come around so I can get a set of RE070s on again. On the plus side, ride quality is significantly increased and road noise is decreased.

I don't know if the amount of sidewall flex is an indication of poor tire quality, or if comparing them to the RE070s is just totally unfair. I've read on this forum several times that the RE070s are quite possibly the stiffest sidewall tire on the market.

I just put a set of 235/45/17 conti extremes that are 10 times better than the 225/45/17 pzero neros I had last year. The 235s fill out better than the 225s do and they ride better too.

i have a set of 225/45/17 and for an all season tire they are quite good. Comparing them to the RE070's is pretty useless since they aren't made for all out dry performance. You could certainly get a dedicated snow tire that would be much better in the snow, but they are decent as well as long as your cautious. I use them only in the winter time and i'm happy with them.

I used to run 245/40R18s michelin pilot sport A/S till I got a flat in one of them. Autocrossed them with pretty good success against other street tire cars.
