Default Biggest size wheels for 05 sti

I have tried to search the forum and could not find what i was looking for. I have a 05 STI and was curious on how big i can go in the rear. The fronts will be 19x9 but i would like to know if i could put a 19x10 in the rear and run a staggered set up. If anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

You need to get a wheel that offers the staggered look without needing to run different tire size. Volks, iforged, Axis, off the top of my head do this.

What issues would i run into? Why can't i run bigger wheels in the back. I know a lot of AWD cars that have a staggered set up and use 245's in the front and 275's in the rear. That is what i am basically trying to do.

Biggest you can go is 18x9.5...even then you will need some serious fender rolling.

you're asking for the wrong stagger.

you should be asking for 10" front and 9" rears.

but then you'll be screwed for rotating tires.

the only way to run more than a 9" wheel and keep it under the fender is doing some serious rear suspension work and fender rolling/pulling, and -2.0 (or more) rear camber. (this is assuming you want to use more than a 245....)

and those cars that run a rear staggard setup are not subarus, so the same rules don't apply.

Thanks for the info. i think i am going to put 9" all the way around b/c i really don't want to have to go through the trouble of making 10" fit. i will just have to wait to put the wide body kit on to use the 10".

9" doesn't "just" fit either.

you'll need to modify or run extreme amounts of rear camber to clear your rear fenders.

even at stock height.

^ Arnt people getting that 5zigen 43 offset wheel to fit with -1.8 ish rear camber with stock springs/struts.

Also, there is that kosei wheel that is a 17x9 45 offset that should be decent, maybe requires less negative camber...

yes, but once the car is lowerd you'll need more camber.

remember Dustin cut the "lip" off his fender that gained him a few mm's.

i havn't seen anyone with the Kosei's yet, but in theory you're correct assuming you run the same tire dustin is and are on stock struts/ride height.

no wonder, you're running a 245....

the offset should be stamped on the wheel, and if it's not there should be a sticker.

if you tell me the model I can figure out "potential" offsets and you can pick from the short list.

do the wheels "poke" in the rear?
