Default Narrowest tire on 8.5 rim?

Anyone know what the narrowest tire can be fit on the stock 06 bbs rim? Smaller than 225/45/17 that is.

the stock bbs rim is 8" buddy, just look at the spec of the tire to compare the width.

Go to the tire manufactures website and look at the specs for the tire in question. For example, for a Kumho Ecsta AST, 225/45-17 8.5" is the max recommended wheel width (so you couldn't go smaller).

If you want to run narrow tires (for winter?), its best to have narrow wheels. Especially for winter usage, having a second set of wheels with the winter tires mounted is much more convient than having your tires remounted twice a year.
