IWSTI Addict since: May 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | i love the new 19" rs4 wheels and i am seriously considering a set and then powdercoating them gold... they are 19X8.5 ... i would have 245/35 or 255/30's on them... but the thing is they are 35 offset... i was thinking i could get a 10mm spacer/adapter to go from the 5X112 to our 5X114.3 and at the same time make the wheel a 45offset. is there any reason this should not work? im sure with the wider tires i will have to roll the fenders, but im not worried about that. any imput would be great This ad is not endorsed by this member. IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2004 Trader Rating: (14) | A 10mm spacer would make them a +25 offset...overall it's not a good idea. Just find something out there that's made in the proper bolt pattern and offset to fit your car, there are a ton of choices. |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | 25? im sure im retarded but it will push it out 10mm farther from the hub, more positive offset, so it should go from 35-45.... deep dish rims have lover offset, so the further the hub is set in the lower the number right? so i dont understand how a 10mm adapter would give the wheel less offset |

by adding a 10mm spacer you are making the mounting face 10mm closer to the centerline, therefore decreasing the offset by 10mm. does that make sense? so when someone says they "added" a 10mm spacer it really decreased their offset 10mm. Last edited by T3h_Clap; 09-24-2006 at 01:47 PM. | |
