Lol...Only reason I suggested that was because I was unfamilar with how the Whitelines were shaped compared to the stock struts. If there's other people running similar setups you should be perfectly fine. Good luck, and I can't wait to see the wheels.

it's slightly different but not in any aspect that will effect wheel fitment.

if you've seen other guys running that offset with your same coilovers and similar size tires, you'll be fine.

ok guys i am planning on the the 18x8.5 44mm on my 04. i have just couple questions.
1. does anyone have pics of the gunmetal or ti gunmetal on sti's blue would be nice but any color would work.
2. i am going to be running RCE springs, ALK(comfort), RCE Non-lowering camber plates, 22mm F&R cusco sways, Rear group n hats. I think i will wrap the rims in a 235/40/18. do you guys think this is a good set up i do not want any rubing. i do not want to roll fenders or anything.

i think that the car will look great and handle great without any rubbing am i correct.

p.s pics of them would be great. i either want the ti- gunmetal or the gunmetal. thanks guys

since you have an 04 you may need to roll the rear fenders slightly to prevent rubbing but you should be ok after that.

I don't think you'll have any issues with the set up you're going with. I had 235 but recently switched to a 245/40/18 and I'm on Tein Flex's (dropped pretty low) and don't have any rubbing issues. Of course, I'm also running -2.0 camber in the rear.

that's where the issue lies, him running a 4mm lower offset would be similar to you running a 10mm wider tire on your wheels.

i stand by my earlier comment where a baseball bat or a fender roller may be needed.

Defintely finding the right offset is the key to prevent from running into problems. So I concur. I have seen other 04's running a CE28N in 18x85 fitment with no rubbing issues, but I don't know what the offset is for them.

To add insult to injury, I just recently rolled some fenders on another 04 this past weekend. He was running SSR SP1 Professors (18x8.5 with a +47 offset) and they were rubbing his 245/40/18 KDW's pretty bad. I wouldn't have even driven the 20miles he did to have his fenders rolled, they were that bad.
