I agree. They make great autox and daily driven tires (as long as you aren't shaving the rs2s)

That's a little absurd. Considering a lot of people run winter tires part of the year that's like saying the falkens last 4-5k miles.

Agreed. We usually get two seasons of autox, and a full season of autox/track out of them.

7k mostly highway miles and one autocross in six months is all I got out of mine. the tires were down to the wear bars before the autocross.

I have been running A6 hoosiers all summer for autox, but it was a cold day and I thought that the falkens would likely be as good as the hoosiers. I was so wrong. I was, by comparing my times to cars I've run against this year, around three seconds slower in the azenis. I was so surprised by the difference that I wiped out six cones on the first corner on my first run on the falkens.

hahaha, going from the best street tire to the best R-comp is ~3 seconds for a good driver.

sounds about right to me

i love my kdw-2's. great on dry, great when wet - and the tread pattern is pretty sweet. Also they were not incredibly expensive, especially for the performance you get as a dry/wet street tire. I don't think they are too loud on the highway or at any time, but thats just me and I've had noisier tires before...

just to fill you in - i went through some serious ice and snow with 255 wide kdw-2's today just for fun (haven't gotten a chance to put on the blizzaks yet). They held up pretty well for a high performance summer tire. I was completely surprised.

Not like blizzak's or other winter tires, but almost felt like an all season tire.
