Default Falken Rt 615 reviews?

Anyone on the board have these tires? Any feedbacks or comments?
I know there are plenty of reviews on them via Internet. But i wanted to get a real review from a STI owner.

Are these tires a lot quieter than stock RE070?

When new yes. When worn they are louder than worn 070.

When new, they are better in rain. No better when worn.

Ride much better and have same level of grip, but give up some response. These are not a very good street tire, they wear fast and when 50% worn such in rain adn are loud.

These are an autocross tire and aren't really good for much else. If you don't race then the MX or new Kooks wear alittle better adn better in rain. MX wear very well.

If you want better tread life go with something even harder like the BFG sport

The sidewall isn't as stiff, giving a quieter ride with less "banging" over expansion joints -- but giving up sharpness on turn-in.

The give is progressive, but starts a bit earlier than the RE-070.

I am satisfied, for the price. 245/45R17 BTW.

If only they lasted longer...
I was pretty much dead set on getting a set of these to replace my worn out stockers, but it seems like 10,000 miles is about all you get out of the 615's

^^ I only got 12k out of the stockers so 10K is not so bad on these. Does kind of suck buying new tires every 8 months or so though!

Do you autocross? Karl go 12,000, I go less that 10,000 out of my stockers. We both autocross and I drive like an asshat on the street.

I happen to like the feel of the RT-615's. They fit my style of driving. Love them as a lapping days tire and beginning to appreciate them as a autocross tire. I'd buy them again over the RE070's. Just my opinion.

^ Actually, it is kind of nice to have the upper limit reduced a bit. Makes for a little more fun sliding the car around.
