Default Will 245/45/18 fit on my 05 with gf210's?

Looking at some used 245/45/18 kdw's to go on my 18x8.5 emotions...will these fit on my 05 sti with gf210's and some negative camber added without rubbing.?

they are about 2" too tall.

try a 245/35.

and why KDW's?

Like i said, came across some used ones for a good deal.

There is no need for a 35 either, the 40 is stock like size and fits perfect.

235/40/18 is "stock like"

and where did you say you came across a good deal?

the 245/40 18 is similar to a 245/45 17 which is ~1" taller than stock.

and "fits perfect" really depends on someones given setup.

what are you currently running? wheels (size, offset), tires (size/brand), Suspension (besides springs).

EDIT: I'll make an assumption that you're running 18x8.5 +43mm or is +42mm.

Correct, running +43 emotions. Was all set-up to have get some 245/45/17's for the stock bbs's and then traded my wheels for the emotions.

The works came with 225/40/18 Pzero's m&s's, this size is untollerable...i *hate the stretched tire look, and it leaves to lip open for damage...plus on top of all that i am leaving grip on the table.

Suspension that might matter are 05 spec gf210's, whiteline camber bolts adjusted to -1.5 front -1.0 rear, and whiteline 24mm fr and rr sway bars.

I am trying to save some money and find a set of lightly used tires in my size, kdw's was one of the tires i would conisder if i were buying new tires...but they are to expensive.

Also, i like a fat tire look...i hate these super small sidewall tires everyone seems to be in love with.

Here are the 245/45/18's on legacy, but they rub...i was hopeing with the more room for tire on the sti that they would fit.

it isn't that we are "in love with them"

we are in love with having tires that fit, and are the proper diameter/circumference

if you want a "fatter" sidewall get 17s

tires. How a tire looks should NOT be considered all all when properly sizing them

I would go with 245/35 or 255/35/18 if I were you, as those 2 are closest to stock size

Its not just the sidewall, i see alot of people buying to small a width as well which causes the tire to stretch.

The point of this thread is see if the 245/45/18 will fit with out rubbing, does anyone have anything to help out on this?

No, it wont fit.

I have a friend with 245/40 18s on his SSRs and he is very close to rubbing.

any taller he'd rub.

if my "No" isn't good enough, I'll find another proof for you.

Well, more then one account is always better...but im not saying i dont believe you. I am skeptical myself that they would fit...i just havent heard from anyone with first hand experience.

MY04 18x8.5 +48mm SSRs on Zeals

the "near" rubbing is with the fender well/front splitters during turning

Wish i could, i cant afford any decent tire in that sidewall size...the smaller the sidewall the more expensive the tire.

Money doesnt grow on trees for me(trust me i have tried), and tires are not an immediate neccesity...so i will bide my time and keep a look out for some lightly used take-offs.

it won't fit. i ran 245/40/18 on 18x8.5 +48 and they rubbed in front on the lining at full lock. rubbed in back on the outside on hard turns. you will definitely rub in those places. but like you didnt say in the first post, its a good deal so you might just wanna try it

edit: i rolled the back and it was fine
