it depends on the offset.

and if you're willing to roll/pull the fenders to make sure it doesn't rub, or increase the ride height.

Discount Tire Direct sent me at least one wrong wheel... I opened the first box of two, opened the top box in that box, and I pulled out a wheel that seemed a bit too wide... I turned on the light in the room I was in to discover that it was bronze. I checked the markings on the wheel and it was a 17x9 +35.

I didn't even open the second box, although given the size difference I'd say that three of the wheels were what I ordered.

I got on the phone with DTD and they apologized and said that UPS will pick up the wheels they sent and they'd get me the wheels I wanted ASAP. Thank God their customer service is A++.

yea, 17x9 +35mm fits but is too low an offset.

that's the EVO fitment.

EDIT: getting the wrong wheels happens to the best of us.... (I got shipped 5x100 instead of the 5x114.3 that I ordered once before).

Eh, I'm not too worried about it... I was just irritated that I had to lug two large, heavy boxes from my apartment complex office to my apartment and then back to the office in 100 degree weather.

As good as DTD is I bet I'll have the right wheels by Thursday.

Well... I don't know if his car is somehow different than mine, but these wheels definitely do not fit my car. I might be able to make them fit with a spacer, but with the stock length studs and the already borderline offset I'm just going to sell them. I ordered a set of Rota Boosts today. Hopefully they'll get here quick. I'm itching to get my car off the jack stands and back on the road.

17x8 +43 will not fit on an STi without a spacer. 17x9 +43 does fit, though it is a somewhat aggressive size

Offset only tells you part of the equation. In addition to offset, each wheel has a pad height. Pad height differs depending if the wheel was designed as a front or rear wheel. Rear wheels will have a far lower pad height as their calipers are much shallower.
