THATS BRILIANT!! Paint the wheels the color of brake dust. God, I wish I'd thought of that

I've been thinking about painting the wheels an anthracite type color. Mine is my daily driver too. I am VERY tired of cleaning brake dust off of them. I know a set of aftermarket pads will help, but painting the wheels dark will help also.

How did you scuff them up? Steel wool?

thanks for the nice comments. we scuffed up the wheels with just like 500 grit wet sandpaper. then sprayed 2 coats of paint. and 2 coats of clear. or it might of been 1. im not sure.. went and had some take offs mounted on the car and i got some light scratches on them. might have to give em another go. or try a bronze this time

I was wondering how long did it take you scuff down the rims, and for everything else you did specifically? How long did the whole thing take too? They look awesome!
