IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (2) | I know the stock lugs won't fit, because they're huge and won't fit due to the hex sides contacting the rim. But what about smaller diameter lugs, like 12mm? They aren't considered "Tuner Lugs" per se, but they're narrower, with a nice taper to them. They sit nicely in the hole with no contact except for the seat. No they aren't Gorilla, Spline Drivers or Rays lugs, but they seem like the taper on them fits nicely into my new rims (Rota Boost). lugs are 12 x 1.25 for subaru fitment. so what exactly are you trying to do? after market wheels use acorn shaped lugs, so mcgards to muteki lugs will work Quote:

IWSTI Addict since: May 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | I bought a set of Rota Boosts 17X8 for winter wheels and a set of Mcgard Spline nuts from Subydude.com. I also put one Mcgard wheel lock on each wheel, just to confuse the thieves a little. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (2) | lol, yeah, I'm not sure what I was saying when I typed my question Coles notes - - stock ones too fat for Rota Boost - Tire shop had skinnier stock style lugs that were 12mm, instead of 19mm - nice 60 degree taper on these 12mm, which seated nicely on my Rotas - wondering if they're ok as interim solution - Gorrilla lugs arrive Monday - looking for opinions |

| Spec C Club | As long as they are tight and you don't hear any noise coming from them you should be fine until Monday. As with anything you aren't completely sure about, take it easy in the meantime. |

| dances with roads | I personally like lugs that present a nice chunk of surface area to the wheel. McGards for example. If your 12mm's are the same size all the way down I'd say take it real easy until you get some real lugs. |
