| Junior STI Driver | hello. ok a friend of mine told me that bigger wheels handles better. i mean how so? i thought handling depends on the width of the wheel? for example a comparison between the following: 18 x 8.5 17 x 8.5 my friend would say the 18 x 8.5 will handle better and i forgot the reason he said... please verify this thanks. | Junior STI Driver | Smaller wheels generally mean less unsprung weight and rotating mass, in this case the smaller wheel(if it is indeed lighter) performs better...however, if the 18 is lighter, then it will perform better. I have heard that 18s would handle better too, dont remember why either, but I cant think of any reasons Last edited by js3324; 07-08-2006 at 06:54 PM. |
