Default Smallest wheels that will fit on an 06 STI?

I want some small wheels, like 15" or 16" so I can put some good gravel rally tires on. So I have two questions:

What are the smallest wheels I can fit on an 06 STI and what are some brands, stores, etc. where I could find them?

What rally tires are available that will fit on the stock BBS wheels?

Thanks

you cant fit 15's and im 99% positive you can't fit 16's. the reason for that is the brembo's. if you get the red calipers that are on the 06 wrx you should be able to fit some 16's but thats the only way you'll be able to do it.

I don't think ANY 16" rim will clear the brembos......but I could be wrong

Damn. Well in that case, does anyone know of any 17" gravel rally tires that will fit the stock BBS wheels, but won't be so big that they'll rub the inside of the fenders?

Maybe the ENKEI es-tarmac 16 "

The components marked with *can be installed on IMPREZA (GC8, GDB, GGB) 16 inch 4 pot caliper cars.

Info is from the website* (hmmmmm... )

I remember that you could buy the STi with a gravel brake kit option here in Germany directly from the dealer.
This was also a Brembo kit so I am sure there are part numbers. I could look them up for you if you would like.

Cheers,

Benjamin

yah switch to the 4-pots, then you can do a 16 or even 15(??)

but im guessing youll need a lot more than just wheels and tires

good luck !

there are no 17" gravel tires in production. There are 17" "rallycross" tires but they are not suitable for true gravel. They are produced for UK rallycross which is a combination tarmac and dirt surface. the tires would not last long in real gravel.

Your best bet is to go with Hakkapelia or other open pattern snow tires or downsize your brakes since you won't want that much clamping force in low grip situations anyway.
