Smile Need new wheels for 06 STI...

I did scan through the threads already and don't have the experience for a decision. Way 2 new to imports to haggle over this stuff. Bottom line - I had a meeting with a guardrail and want to replace all 4 wheels. Same diameter, width, offset as stock. Quote from Suby on 4 rims is 2,849.00. Ouch. That's 1/2 of the sheetmetal costs I already have to replace.

So...

I don't want expensive, fancy tuner wheels. Car is not and never will be modified suspension wise. Currently have Nero Zero stock size tires and like it that way.

Please - recommendations for replacement wheels which aren't so pricy. Black is out, gold too. Either the stock silver I have, gunmetal or maybe white.

Thanks.

Rota is the most inexpensive option with the most designs that fit the 05/6. Take a look at subydude.com

^ Agreed. If you want a decent wheel for a low price Rotas are the way to go.

You may want to take a look at the ASA JH3s. Click this...

I got the $99 version for my snow tires. For pics of them on a blue 06, check my journal here:

RevTo9K's 06 Blue/Gold Journal - Stage 1, baby!

Good luck!

Default Thanks!

The Rota Boosts look really nice in charcoal. I will probably go with them; easier to clean brake dust off of too. Quick question: so 8.5" is the stock wheel width? Wonder why so many aftermarket are 17X8"? I guess just easier to error on .5" smaller. As long as the stock sized rubber sidewall doesn't suffer.

Again, thanks for saving me a lot of cash. I love the stock BBS, but $712 per wheel is outrageous!!!

The stock wheels are 17x8 +52 (or +53? can't remember). Most of the Rotas are the same size with a slightly lower offset but they still fit perfectly fine. They do make one or two models that come in 8.5" widths though.
