I just got the RE01-R's a week ago, and they are night and day different from the 070's. The ride is much smoother, cabin noise dropped dramatically (I can actually hear that wonderful boxer rumble on the road) and the road tracking is a lot less severe. I got them from Firestone installed for $804.

My only regret with this tire is that I didn't get it to replace the 070's the day I bought my Scoob. Love em, love em, love em!!!

To maintain the proper aspect. the 225/45 and the 235/40 are pretty close to the same diameter. the 40 or 45 number is an aspect ratio in reference to the 225-235 which is 22.5cm-23.5cm wide. so the side walls will be the same height, or pretty close. Anyone who can explain it better please chime in.

No worries - I get what you are saying. The 235/40 will match the diameter of the stockers more closely than the 235/45
